- We will be reinstituting Planning/Officer Meetings. Open to all. Meetings to on Google Meet. Next one will be 10/10 at 7PM. This is where we will work on details for upcoming events (not in business meetings)

- SH Strategic Planning Group meeting 9/20.
- Weekend of 9/30 Fr. John to introduce Strategic Planning and encourage prayer for suggestions on capital planning
- Weekend of 10/7 Announcement of parish survey
- Parish Ministries and individuals provide survey input. Member of SPC to meet with each ministry. Knights will be at next meeting on 10/24. Deadline 11/6
- KofC and Daughters area to display a few items in Brincefield Hall. Ideas needed.
- Protecting God’s Children is the Diocesan Program used to help ensure the safety of the kids at our church and school. All ministries at Sacred Heart are required to participate in the program.

Membership Report –
The council currently has 97 Active Members. Need help developing a Spanish Degree Team.
Membership drive on weekend of 10/14 with Catholic Daughters. Prep needed for materials and table. REPLY IF YOU CAN ASSIST AT MASS.
Other Reports
Our programs as Knights of Columbus should help provide encouragement, engagement and evangelization to our parish and the community. We pray that Our Lord will accomplish His will and lead us to holiness, helping us work towards being better men and better disciples.
Family Director – Chris Castille
- Family of the Month – need nomination.
- Food for Families – Support Sister Mary Roberts Ministry. Knights are needed to bag up items and help load cars. We need to support Friday 6-8 pm and Saturday morning from about 9-12. The date can vary month to month. Next one is Oct 20 and 21st.
- Joint Christmas Party w/Catholic Daughters – 12/9 at School Gym. Catholic Daughters are suggesting a catered meal at the cost of $25-30 per person. Are the members good with this, or should we propose something different.
Faith Director – Duane Krzysik
- Parish Mission 10/16-18. Knights may be asked to assist one evening. Waiting on details.
- Eucharistic Congress – Well attended. 4th Degree supported adoration tent and Mass.
- Men’s Knight - COR The next one is Oct 4th at 5:50 Wednesday after Mass. Social Cookout
- Holy Hour and Adoration – Knights are signed up for Holy Hour and Adoration on the First Saturday of every month from 7 am to 8 am (immediately before Mass). Next one is on October 7th.
- Support for Bishop Siby Seminarians – (Bill Riippi) Bill working on establishing contact with points of contact in US. Working with Michael Becker to find out how to arrange payments.
- Nativity set up scheduled for 12/16
Community Director – Jim Bertrand
- Working with Sacred Heart School to hold Soccer Challenge on 10/14. School very excited. Provide an athletic outlet for young people ages 9 to 14 through penalty kick competition designed for players to demonstrate their skills. Materials ordered. Event to start at 11 on upper field. 6 guys needed to help. REPLY IF YOU CAN ASSIST Knights will also be grilling hotdogs behind kitchen. At least 2 – 4 members needed. REPLY IF YOU CAN ASSIST Tootsie Rolls and Belk Charity to be sold at event. REPLY IF YOU CAN ASSIST
- Coats for Kids – 12 boys and 12 girls coats purchased from Supreme. Coats drive from now until distribution on 11/18. Need to coordinate with Wendy Malloy. Bring new or gently worn coats to Narthex.
- Assist Family Director with Food for Families – Support Sister Mary Roberts Ministry.
- Providing food assistance to refugees. Mike S talked with church. Coordinated with Sister Mary Roberts Ministry and provided 20 families with food.
- Rowan Helping Ministries – Nov 17 dinner. Nov 18th breakfast. REPLY IF YOU CAN ASSIST
Life Director – Len Kobylus
- Life Chain – This Sunday 2-3 PM at corner of Innes and Main.
- Room at the In Benefit Banquet – 9/21 at 6 pm. $500 donation check. ASAP application.
- Life Choices – Rowan Gala 9/14. Sign up for clean up at end of event. $500 donation check. ASAP application.
- Special Olympics- Knights have joined Special Olympics Committee. Next meeting on Oct 24th at 6 PM. Making plans to support Polar Plunge and Spring Games. Program can be expanded if more coaches are available. Let Len or Greg know if you are interested in coaching
- Belk Charity – Get tickets 9/27 8-9:30. Sell between now and event on Nov 4-6. Money for LAMB.
- LAMB – Tootsie Rolls sales on weekends in October. REPLY IF YOU CAN ASSIST SELLING TOOTSIE ROLLS AND TICKETS AFTER MASS IN OCTOBER.
